I've got a studio!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I've got a new studio!!

With the new year, I've decided to try out a different way of working: I'm going to give up my solitary studio at home to move in a studio with other people. How exciting!

I've made this decision because I've realised working from home is very boring and some days I would say even rather depressing.
So, to keep my mental health intact, I've taken the decision to invest some money in a studio rent.

After just a week of research, I've found what I believe to be an awesome place: an old school now used as artist community and studios. The place is called Schoolhouse studios

In the room I'm in, there are other four people and the girl who's running the place told me that's supposed to be one of the most productive room of the community.... exactly what I was looking for: a productive environment that will help me to be inspired and to not look at facebook that much.

The building itself is huge and intricate like a maze. It has everything a school should have: classrooms, a kitchen, a basketball court, parking space, and even an orchard with some hens!
I can't wait to get to know it better.

I've also bought a bike so I can ride to work every morning... how healthy!
I'm really expecting great things from this change. Wish me luck!

  2. So cool! I've been hearing a lot about these lately! Places for all kinds of freelancers to work together under one roof, illustrators, designers, developers, writers, whatever. So nice! They seem to be growing in popularity. One just started up around here in Baltimore too, and I've heard of others starting soon not far away either.
